Role Summary
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Eftsure is critical to maintaining and enhancing our hosting infrastructure’s security, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure, optimising performance, and troubleshooting complex issues. This role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring that the infrastructure evolves with the company’s needs.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include automating processes, ensuring high availability, and implementing strong security measures. You will be instrumental in researching and implementing emerging technologies to keep Eftsure’s infrastructure at the forefront of industry best practices.
As a valued member of the Eftsure team, your responsibilities will be to:
- Manage and Optimise Infrastructure: Assist with overseeing the operation of Eftsure’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring its performance, availability, and security are consistently high.

Implement Automation and DevOps: Streamline deployment and infrastructure management by automating key processes and developing tools that improve efficiency.
Ensure Security and Compliance: Protect systems with industry-standard security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal standards. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with software development teams and stakeholders to design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Quickly diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues to minimise downtime and optimise system performance.
- Document and Monitor: Maintain detailed, up-to-date documentation for infrastructure designs and configurations, while also developing systems to monitor performance metrics.
What you need to be successful:
- Cloud and Automation Expertise: Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS) and proficiency in automation tools to manage and streamline infrastructure.
- Security and Networking: Solid understanding of security best practices, as well as networking skills including load balancing, firewalls, and infrastructure scalability.
- Containerisation and OS Management: Proficiency in container technologies like Docker, orchestration tools, and managing Linux/Windows environments.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Expertise with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Datadog, along with the ability to resolve infrastructure challenges efficiently.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: A customer-centric approach to problem-solving, working effectively with cross-functional teams and communicating complex issues clearly.
- Adaptability and Attention to Detail: Ability to adapt to evolving technology landscapes while maintaining a high level of accuracy in infrastructure design and implementation.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or a related role.
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a proven track record of designing and managing cloud solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are highly regarded.
