The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract role based in Sydney, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and add immediate value across reporting, audit, and compliance. Key requirements of this role are:

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports (AASB & IFRS)

• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journals

• Lead and coordinate the external audit process

• Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, FBT, and corporate tax

• Maintain and improve internal controls and processes

• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting

About You

• Strong experience in financial reporting and external audit

• Solid knowledge of AASB and IFRS

• Experience with Australian tax compliance

• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Preferred

• CA/CPA qualified with minimum 3 years of PQE

• Background in Big 4 or Tier 2 audit and tax compliance

• Experience in medium to large organisations

• Immediately available

The Details

• Salary on offer is $30 - $35 per hour + super

• Expectation to come to the North Sydney office 3 days per week

• Immediate start, three month contract with possibility of extension
